October 9, 2017: Addition to the O'Donnell Family History Blog

Concerning the Fortune Family: In 1870 US Census of Thomas Fortune household Brooklyn, NY, respondent state that both parents of Thomas P. Fortune  (viz. Martin & Francis Pender(gast))were born in Maryland! This seems to have been the belief of the respondent. If this information is indeed correct, then further research must be done in Maryland records  concerning Martin. If correct, then he was not Irish born!

October 9, 2017 - FORTUNE Family: Reviewing Census records of Thomas Fortune family, the respondent said that "both  of Thomas Fortune's parents were born in Maryland" This seems to have been the belief of the family of Thomas. If this response is accurate then Martin Fortune and Francis Pender(gast) were both born in Maryland and not in Ireland.  Clearly further research must be done!
